What is Oklahoma's Promise?
Oklahoma’s Promise is a state scholarship program that helps Oklahoma students earn free tuition for college if they meet certain requirements in high school.
What does it pay for?

✔️ Tuition at an Oklahoma public college or university

✔️ Part of tuition at some private colleges

✔️ Part of tuition at technology centers
It does NOT pay for:

Fees
-
Books
-
Room and board
Who can apply?
Students must:
-
Be an Oklahoma resident
-
Apply in 8th–11th grade (no later than Dec. 31 of senior year)

Meet family income limits (based on number of dependents)
What do students have to do in high school?
To earn the scholarship, students must:

Take the required college-prep classes

Keep at least a 2.5 GPA
-
Stay out of trouble (good attendance and behavior)

Graduate from high school
Important to know

Income is checked again when the student goes to college (must stay under the limit).

Students must complete the FAFSA every year in college to receive the money.
