Secondary Principal
I am a 2006 graduate of Haileyville High School; after high school, I attended Eastern Oklahoma State College to complete my associate's degree. I then transferred to Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education. I decided to further my education in 2016 by receiving my master's degree in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University.
Rachael Smith is a graduate of Haileyville High School. She attended Eastern
Oklahoma State College, Rachael later attended Oklahoma State University and was a member
of Collegiate FFA, and in 2010 she graduated with a degree in Agricultural Education.
She began her career as an agricultural education instructor at Wilburton High School
for one year. Then she moved to Valliant Public Schools and was one of three agricultural
education instructors alongside her husband, Brent Smith. As an agricultural education teacher/
FFA Advisor, she trained many teams and public speakers that competed across the state. Her
students earned numerous awards at local, state, and national levels and fostered their
passions for the agricultural industry. In 2019, Smith shifted into a school administration position
as High School Principal at Valliant Public Schools. After nine years at Valliant, she moved to
Haworth Public Schools in 2022, where she is currently serving as the Secondary Principal.
When not working, Rachael is helping with the family cow/calf operation, traveling, and
spending time with family.
